Visiting the Pyramids Of Giza Without A Guide

Preparations

Plan everything ahead so that you don’t get stuck in the middle of the day.
First things first, make sure you have the right airport transportation, this will make everything a lot easier for you. Keep in mind that, there isn’t any shade there, so make sure you’re wearing a hat, running shoes, putting on a sunscreen and having your sunglasses and a plenty of water to keep you hydrated all day long. Regarding the money, 500-700 LE (25 euros) are enough to hold, also make sure you have your ID.

Buying The Tickets

Once you’re there, you’ll find two windows. One for the general entry which allows you to take a tour through the pyramid and sphinx and the other allows you to enter the Great Pyramid, choose whatever you like, and enter.

Stepping Forward

Take pictures and enter the pyramid in case you bought the extra ticket. Keep in mind that as you do your sightseeing you’ll be approached by many locals trying to sell you various items. If you like what they’re offering, feel free to buy, if you don’t, they’ll keep offering, just go on your way.

Riding Camels Or Horses

You can choose between a horse ride and a camel ride. Some might find camels uncomfortable, however, it helps to live the whole experience. Horses are always a good idea anyway.
They will, however, stop several times to allow you to take photos of the sites. The ride lasts for a half hour, an hour or two, depending on what you negotiate.

Yep, a ship at the pyramids. You’ll find a structure that contains a ship that brought the stones that built the pyramids, you’ll notice them once you’re ready to leave.
